My sister and I attempt to do something new every trip to Walt Disney World. I thought it would be hard because I make several trips to my “happy place” in a year’s time. You can only imagine my joy when it was announced that my favorite princess would be having her own event, Tiana’s Riverboat Party. Ok, let me be honest, I was very, VERY excited that Princess Tiana was getting her own event and not having to share the spotlight with other princesses. My sister, nephew, and I decided to take a quick trip to Walt Disney World Easter weekend. I felt this was a perfect time for ice cream with Tiana and made reservations.

The party takes place on the Liberty Square Riverboat located in the Magic Kingdom. The check-in process takes place outside of the dock and beads were given out.
Once checked in, guests moved to the landing to enjoy ice cream (with topping of your choice), treats, and drinks.

Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen arrived to take pictures and mingle with guests before Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. There was a PhotoPass photographer catching all the moments during the party.

Before the parade began, the Liberty Square Riverboat sails from the dock to give guests a good view of the parade. While waiting for the parade to begin, guests can snack on Mickey ice bars, and popcorn. Drinks were available also. The view for the parade was described as being VIP and I found it to be true. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen even waved at us.

After the parade, the riverboat moved back to the dock for our royal host and hostess to join us. Once they were on board, the riverboat took a trip on the Rivers of America.

I enjoyed the party and I am not just saying that because my favorite princess was the hostess. The atmosphere, interaction, and treats were wonderful. Princess Tiana and Naveen talked to everyone and even held a parade with the little ones around the boat’s deck. Would I recommend this event to others? Yes, I would. It was a break from our usual park routine, a new experience to participate in, and gave me a different view of Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.
