Elantrice’s Must Haves for Magical Trips

Besides getting asked about what I love about Disney, I also get asked about tips to make trips more enjoyable.  Besides saying have fun, I would recommend to do some planning.  Planning can go beyond which park to spend the day in, ADRs (Advance Dining Reservations) to obtain, or which Disney ship to sail away on.  I wanted to share some items that I have purchased to help my trips be more enjoyable. 

As we all know Florida heat can be brutal.  Keeping cool and hydrated is very important. I purchased a rechargeable mini portable fan from Amazon.  I have had it close to a year with no issues to report.  It is rechargeable which comes in handy for long days in the parks.

My sister, nephew and I sailed on the Disney Fantasy for a 7-day cruise this year.  We had so much fun spending time together and exploring two new destinations to us.   We can not wait to sail again. 

The following items were purchased for my Disney cruise this year:

I wanted to try a reusable straw. I saw this collapsible reusable stainless steel drinking straw with case and cleaning brush on Amazon.  I had no issues with using this straw.  It was easy to unfold, clean, and refold. The case makes it easy to travel with.  I used a Tervis tumbler and the straw fit easily in opening of the lid.  As a little extra touch, my sister monogramed the case.

I signed up for an excursion where swim shoes were highly recommended due to having to climbing over rocks and going into caves.  I have never owned swim shoes.  I wanted them to be comfortable and sturdy. I ordered the swim shoes below from Amazon.  I have narrow feet and was able to tighten the straps to fit the width of my foot.   The shoes did not hurt or rub my heels.  When wet, the shoes did not feel heavy. Therefore, I could summarize the feel as light weight sneakers.

On beach excursions, I used the waterproof pouch bag below to keep certain items on me.  It did keep my items (iPhone X and debit card) dry while playing in the water.  I did not immerse the pouch fully in water to see if the three seals did keep water out for long period of times.  

I am glad I did purchase these items for my trips and look forward to continuing to use them.  As I continue to try new things, I will share my finds.
