Mean Muggin’ Monday Starbucks Edition
Today’s Mean Muggin’ Monday comes to you from 1912 Pike Place Market. For us that frequent Starbucks, we are familiar with that address. This is the location of the first Starbucks store, which opened in 1971. Well to be more detailed the store was first located at 2000 Western Avenue and then moved to 1912 Pike Place Market around 1976. My sister, JoVonn (@jhgive) was visiting Seattle, Washington before her and her family’s cruise to Alaska. My only request to her was to stop by this Starbucks location to get me a mug. Of course being the loving little sister that she is complied with my request. During her visit to the store, we stayed in contact via iMessage. She informed me the end of the line was outside of the store filled with eager tourists like her. She stated the line moved fast and before she knew it, she was drinking her Caramel Macchiato.
JoVonn stated the mugs are in boxes which is a plus to make taking them home easier. As you can see below Thomas the Train wanted to be in the picture courtesy of my nephew, Jacob.

My mug is from the “You Are Here” collection. The mug holds 14oz and retails for $10.95. It is chocolate brown on the inside and the storefront of the first Starbucks at 1912 Pike Place Market on the outside.

My sister’s mug is called “The First Starbucks Store”. The mug holds 12oz and retails for $10.95 also. It was made in the USA and has the original logo.

Today’s mug is showing my school spirit for Monsters University. I guess this mug was made for a monstrous appetite that needs huge quantities of caffeine to study. I purchased the mug at the Disney Store. It is also available at DisneyStore.com and retails for $12.50.

Monstrous Summer Preview Trade Show
Disney is known for it’s ability to tie things together and this summer will be no different. With the much anticipated Disney-PIXAR movie Monsters University being released in theaters June 21st, 2013, Disney Parks has deemed this to be a “Monstrous Summer” and this week I had the opportunity to attend a media preview for the event. It was filled with everything from breaking news about the makeover of Mike & Sully’s meet and greet at Disney Hollywood Studios to the major changes happening on Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic ship which include the AquaDunk water slide! There was also a trade show that showcased all the things that Walt Disney World has to offer. Everything from runDisney to the great new bowling alley at Downtown Disney called Splitsville was represented and they were there to give us on all the great things we can all experience with them. There were also sneak peeks at new merchandise being released in the coming months in the theme parks and also online as well as samples of food from the popular Be Our Guest restaurant in Magic Kingdom and from California Grill which will soon be reopening in the Contemporary. Today’s fabulous find comes from Hallmark. It seems as if I have been spending a great deal of time there. I went to the Hallmark located in the Mall of Georgia. It appears different Hallmark stores have different items. This store had a large selection of Dr. Seuss merchandise. I chose the luggage tag below and can not wait to put on one of my tote bags. It retails for $9.95.

Grown up enough for me to add a touch of Disney daily and not steal from the kids. Today’s fabulous find was found at Hallmark. Per the description, it is called a “mini memo pad with pen”. The little holder (which looks like Mickey’s pants) contains a 75 sheets pad and a black ink pen. I am going to use it in my car for those quick notes and lists. The memo pad retails for $6.95.

Today’s fabulous find comes from Hallmark. I usually take a trip to one of my local Hallmark stores to see if they have gotten any new Disney items. This trip I found several items. I purchased this memo pad set with pen. I love sticky notes and especially those with a Disney theme. The set contains 1 sticky pad (Mickey Mouse’s face), 1 blank memo pad, 1 memo pad with lines, and a black ink pen. The set retails for $12.95.

Today’s mug was purchased during my last trip to Walt Disney World. Since I love Mickey Mouse dressed as the Sorcerer, I had to add this mug to my collection. I found it at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom. It retails for $14.95.

Today’s fabulous find comes from the Emporium at Magic Kingdom. I saw a picture of these water bottles on Instagram and knew I wanted one. I bought a green one for me and a blue one for my nephew. The receipt lists it as “Mickey Mouse Character Bottle”. The bottle retails for $4.95.
